Priorities change in their lives and a renewed commitment to God and the church result. Never does one have to resort to gimmicks or hype to get people to give. They now have a strong biblical understanding and commitment to using their finances for eternal purposes. We firmly believe that "MONEY FOLLOWS MINISTRY". For this reason, our inovative Lifestyle Stewardship Campaign focus's on four major keys... a. Help people discover the true joy of spirtual giving b. Assist in the meeting needs of your congregation and community c. Empower God's people for the 'works of ministry' d. Raise the finances required to fund the vision When God's people take ownership of the ministry by giving of their time -- talents -- treasure -- and talents, their is released a generous spirit in the congregation. It is vital for the congregation to understand the campaign is about 'investing in people' and not just about brick and mortar. Only people last forever! A major teaching emphasis is helping God's people capture the heart of God in our giving. It is rewarding to see God's people become committed to 'placing the things of God first' in their lives as accoring to Matthew 6:33. Our LIFESTYLE CAPITAL STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN strategy is one of the most spirtually effective and comprehensive. Every Lifestyle Stewardship Campaign includes our creative church growth/development strategy, strategic planning, stewardship education and media development program that will invigorate the life of your congrgation and community. The average capital stewardship campaign is really accomplished in 3-8 months. Once the flurry of the committee training and special events are complete, the church leadership basically must oversee the follow up. It's one thing to receive faith promises but it's another to challenge to recieve the fulfillment of the faith promises. The follow up process over the 36 months is vital to maximize your financial results. Stewardship Campaigns must have an innovative follow up or follow through strategy or it could result in a 'foul-up' instead of follow up! Now we must grow the church by growing the people! As a result, we focus our creative church growth strategies on growing your church during our Lifestyle Capital Stewardship Campaing in three ways: 1. Spiritual Growth 2. Numerical Growth 3. Financial Growth Another objective is to educte God's people how to become 'debt free' and how to better manage their finances. We help establish an ongoing stewardship education program that will change the lives of your people. Marriage counselors tell us that the number one cause of divorce is directly related to financial problems. Debt is a spiritual disease that is can be cured! It's an exciting time for the church as new leadership is discovered and released into new areas of ministry that continue after the capital campaign is completed. We adhere to the "team ministry" principle of "equipping the saints for the works of service". In addition, there are new ministry programs implemented during the campaign that will positively impact the growth of your church. Incorporated in every Lifestyle Capital Stewardship Campaign are key the components of our strategic planning process and creative church growth. To achieve the maximum success for your campaign it is vital to accurately access and develop a plan to meet not only the present needs of your church and community but to anticipate their future needs. During our stewardship campaign process, there is a growing excitement about the church vision and a strong anticipation of what God will accomplish through their personal involvement. When God's people become focused on an exciting vision that will make a significant change in the lives of people, there is strong cohesive and united spirit in the church. It truly is a "spiritual journey" and not just another fundraising program. It truly is a 'faith-raising' experience for your church. It places the purpose of money in a proper, Biblical perspective that God owns everything and we are to be wise effective managers of His gifts. CHURCH LED STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGNS RAISE LESS MONEY! Churches sometimes try to save the fee of an experienced stewardship ministry by attempting to to a 'staff-led'stewardship campaign. Unfortunately, it is a known fact that staff-led campaigns generally struggle in almost every area of a stewardship campaign and raise only 1/3 to 1/2 of the potential funds that would have been raised by an expereinced stewardship ministry. Frankly, very few staff led campaigns succeed! The church loses hundreds of thousands and sometimes millions of dollars that would have been raised by using a stewardship ministry. In hindsight, the church leadership agrees they should not have attempted such an important ministry in their own. The following example illustrates the comparison between a staff-led stewardship campaign and using an experienced stewardship campaign ministry such as The Simmons Group. | Church ‘In-House’ Program | Amount | The Simmons Group Program | Amount | | Funds Needed | $1,000,000 | Funds Needed | $1,000,000 | | General Amount Raised: 1 X Annual Income (1/3 is the norm: $335,000) | $500,000 | General Amount Raised: 2 X Annual Income (many times it is 3-4 X’s) | $1,000,000 | | Loan Required to Cover Stewardship Shortfall | $500,000 | Loan Required to Cover Stewardship Shortfall | $0 | | Interest Cost @ 8% for 15 Years | $360,087 ($860,087) | No Loan Required | $0 | | Interest Cost @ 7% for 15 years | $308,946 ($808,946) | No Loan Required | $0 | NOTE: The loan figures are based on assuming the church can raise 1/2 of the funds required. From the above illustration, we can see the enormous loss to the church...a $500,000 shortfall PLUS the cost of of the interest for the loan. The figure will need to be adjusted for the small fee of an experienced stewardship ministry. The small investment of using a stewardship ministry woud have saved the church between $808,946 and $860,087! Additionally, there is the intangible cost to the church of lost confidence; momentum; outreach and congregational trust that can feasibility set the church back for years. The shortfall must come out of the already stretched 'operating budget'. This results in halting ministry programs...postponing adding new ministry staff; and placing a financial strain on the shoulders of the Pastor and church leaders. The Pastor is stressed with the additional responsibility of being the main 'fundraiser'. Instead of being purpose driven, the church is now money driven to pay off the debt. The financial shortfall has thrust the church into "mortgaging the anointing". At the heart of our ministry and stewardship strategy is a passion to help your people grow spiritually strong in their love for the Lord...to use their talents for ministry...to discover the freedom of being debt free...and to expereince the joy of giving.
